Camping 5 km from Ry gives you the opportunity to experience a cozy town with music, food and a good atmosphere. In Ry you will find many small specialty shops and a few grocery stores. Ry offers exciting events and activities throughout the season. The town is beautifully situated between the lakes Gudensø, Birksø, Vessø, Lillesø, Rye Mølle Sø and Knudsø along the Gudenå River – and only a short train ride from Terrassen Camping.
Himmelbjerget
Himmelbjerget, the most famous viewpoint at Ry and Gl. Ry – 125 meters above Julsø and 147 meters above sea level. But the view of the lakes and forests of the Søhøjlandet is worth the whole trip. In the summer season, the Hjelebådene sail between Ry and Himmelbjerget.
Marina
The marina is a natural gathering place in Ry. Feel the atmosphere, enjoy the sight of the beautiful yachts and watch Hjejlen and the other tour boats sail past.

Anna Klindt Sørensen's garden
Anna Klindt Sørensen's garden is a small oasis in the middle of the city. It is freely accessible and quite beautiful as it is located down towards the lake.
Old Ry mill
Gl. Ry mill dates from 1872 and houses a small museum. The mill has a permanent exhibition and other various exhibitions, such as glassmaking in the 1500th century and a large collection of Himmelbjerg souvenirs. Photo: Jakob Stigsen Andersen.

For music lovers, there is a concert in the music pavilion every Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30 PM for one hour. You will find the music pavilion where the Himmelbjerg boats dock. Admission to all concerts is free.
Knudhule beach
The sandy beach is 200 m long and 25 m wide. There is a large bathing jetty, barbecue facilities, toilet and beach kiosk. The first approx. 20 meters of bathing water are shallow, so children can swim safely.
