Checklist and FAQ

Our online booking is always open, and you can pay with Dankort, Credit card or mobilePay.
During busy periods it is a good idea to book in advance - especially for the viewing areas, or if you want a specific seat. The sooner you book, the better your chances of getting what you want.
When booking, 25% of the amount is paid, and the rest is paid 30 days before arrival.

First select the dates you want, then the type of rental you want. The prices will automatically appear (prices include people, electricity and cleaning).
When you have chosen what you want to book, click on "BOOK" then you can enter the number of people etc., and order linen/towels. Enter the car's registration number if necessary, as we have license plate recognition.
You can choose between 3 options for changing/cancelling your reservation, please note: if you choose basic, there will be not be able to change or cancel.
You cannot choose a specific cabin yourself, but you can write your wishes in the "wishes/comments" field and we will do what we can to fulfill all your wishes.

First enter the dates you want, then different types of pitches will appear for you to choose from, and you will be able to see the price difference between them. (Prices include 2 people, electricity and bathroom)
You can choose from the following types:

• (black) Standard space (no view)
• (green) Comfort space (no view)
• (blue) Pitch with partial view
• (red) Space with panoramic view

You have the option to let the system choose a seat for you, or you can choose a specific seat yourself.
If you choose to let the system choose for you, we will choose the best one available based on your wishes and what you bring.
If you want to choose a specific pitch, click on it and small green balloons will appear on the available pitches. If you place your mouse over the green balloons, you will be able to see the size of the pitch. For example, if it says 10 x 5,5, it means that the pitch is 10 metres long and that you may not take up more than 5,5 metres in width including the awning. To comply with fire regulations, there must be 1,5 metres from the caravan (box) or tent canvas to the peg, so we are sure that there are 3 metres between the caravans or tents.
The pitches are intended for one camping caravan, tent, or camplet. If you wish to book a pitch for a camping caravan and a small tent, it must be a reasonably large pitch, as you must have 1,5 meters to the pole and 3 meters between the caravan and tent.
Once you have chosen the type or space you want, click on "BOOK" and then you can enter the number of people etc.
You must fill in what you are bringing, and the total length and width of what you are bringing. Here we will try to catch if you have booked something incorrectly.
Please enter the car's registration number, as we have license plate recognition.
You can choose between 3 options for changing/cancelling your reservation, please note: if you choose basic, there will be not be able to change or cancel.

Basically, you have 3 options in connection with your booking to change or cancel. We would like to point out that these choices are made in connection with your booking, i.e. at the moment you make the booking. It will not be possible to change to a different type later.

Basic - No cancellation or change
With Basis, you do not have the option to rebook, cancel or get a refund for your booking if you are prevented from attending.
However, you have the option to cancel your reservation within 3 days after the order has been made, after which we will refund the payment minus DKK 150 in administration fee.

Flex - Cancellation up to 30 days before arrival
With flex you can rebook and cancel up to 30 days before arrival. However, please note that there is an administration fee of DKK 150 per change, per booking.
The amount on the Flex package is not refundable in the event of rebooking or cancellation.

Premium - Cancellation until the day before arrival
With Premium you can rebook and cancel up until 12:00 the day before arrival. However, please note that there is an administration fee of DKK 150 per change, per booking.
The amount on the Premium package is not refundable in the event of rebooking or cancellation.

Bemærk: The different types are based on dynamic prices that are calculated based on the total amount of your stay. This will always be clearly stated in the booking when you make the reservation.

During the stay
Please note that our 3 options for changes and cancellations above do not apply during your stay. If an acute illness, accident or death occurs in your immediate family or with you, we recommend that you be aware of being covered by your private insurance.

The following are not suitable and therefore not allowed on the terraces, as they take away others' views/sights:
Box campers, high-roof vehicles, tipi tents, and anything else that blocks the view of those behind.

If you want to make multiple reservations, we recommend making them separately, otherwise we will have to change them when you arrive. The reservations must be in the name of the person living in the cabin or on the site, and we must register their reg. no. on the car, as we have license plate recognition. If you make multiple reservations together, you must all choose the same option for cancellation and change.

When you arrive at Terrassen Camping, you must choose the right "check in" lane, and please stop at the large STOP signs while checking in. You can check in from 2:00 PM.

If you arrive outside reception opening hours, please contact us well in advance so we can check you in in advance so you can just drive in.

When you make a reservation, one vehicle is included in the price, and only that vehicle can drive in and out. If you have an extra car that needs to enter the space, it costs DKK 25 per day regardless of the length of the parking. If you have more than one car in the space, one must park in the field behind the playground. Note: Parking is only allowed in the assigned space, not in neighboring spaces or the like.

When you arrive at Terrassen Camping, you are welcome to drive past the "check in" signs and stay in the parking lot while you check in. You can check in after 3:00 PM.

On the terraces you must lie lengthwise, and keep approx. 1,5 meters from the no. peg on the left side with the back of the caravan and the car around the tow, - if it is a tent, the tent cloth must be approx. 1,5 meters from the no. peg on the left side when you stand with your back to the lake and the car on the other side. Camping caravans and motorhomes are not allowed to stay across on the terraces.
Use your common sense and be aware that you are not the only one who wants to lie comfortably and with the best view. It should be possible to drive past with a camping caravan on the terraces.
(There are a few places where the above does not apply, - ask if you are in doubt)

If you are towing your camper with a box camper or similar, please note that if you have a space on the terraces, the box camper must park in the parking area behind the playground.

Since we must comply with fire regulations, please be aware that there must be 3 meters between camping caravans, motorhomes, tents and tent caravans, etc. - If this is not observed, you risk being asked to move what you have brought.

Electricity is included in the price 10 amp. on the pitches. It is not allowed to use radiant heaters or charge electric cars. Electric cars can be charged at our two Clever electric charging stations down by the driveway. Our seasonal guests have meters on – our day guests do not have any meters on.

Departure for camping:
At the pitches, payment and departure must be made before 12:00 - If you have paid, you can just drive on the day of departure 😊

Departure for rental:
Julsøhus & Glamping tents must be settled and checked out before 10:00 a.m.
Cabins, rental caravans, etc. must be settled and checked out before 11:00 a.m.

Cleaning of cabins is included in the price, but you must take care of general cleaning, washing dishes and emptying the trash and toilet.

Guests are asked to park outside the barrier in the parking lot and report to the reception to report their arrival. Day guests staying on the site after 10:30 p.m. will be considered overnight guests and will be charged for the same. We cannot guarantee a parking space outside the barrier for all guests. However, it will be possible to park inside the site for a fee. Guest parking inside the site is only permitted in the field behind the playground, and the guest must have driven out of the barrier before 10:30 p.m. when the barrier closes. Parking in empty spaces is not permitted.

The garbage bags/containers provided may ONLY be used for general waste, and the garbage bags provided are not intended for guests' garbage bags; they must be placed in the designated garbage containers/containers at the entrance. We have waste separation - metal - plastic - glass - cardboard (note: only pure cardboard - not pizza trays) Residual waste must go in the large container.

Our Wi-Fi is free and covers the entire site, however, with reservations, as there are many metal caravans on a campsite, as well as guests with different equipment that can disrupt the signals. Find: Terrassen guest: Password: Terrassen
Bemærk: It cannot be used to stream TV and movies, - it can be used to surf the web.

You pay for the bread when ordering the day before, and please bring the number you are given when ordering when you pick up the bread. If you do not have the physical number with you, we cannot deliver the bread. The morning bread comes from Konditor Bageren in Silkeborg.

From 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Outside of this time, the barrier is closed and entry/exit will not be possible.

It is free to use our swimming pool.
The pool opens in mid-May, but no later than Ascension Day and closes on September 1st.
As a general rule, the pool is not open on weekdays during the low season.
From 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. there is adult swimming, and during this time there are no children allowed in the pool area. After that it is open to everyone. The pool closes at 9:00 p.m. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. The pool is heated and the temperature can vary between approx. 22 - 26 degrees.

Dogs are welcome at Terrassen Camping - and we have a dog bath for free use.
All dogs must be kept on a leash and supervised at all times.
When you walk your dog, please use dog bags for collection. We have dog bags hanging by the store and in the corner of the toilet building.

Dogs are welcome in the following rental units:
Standard cabins, Comfort cabins, snake hill cabins and the Julsø cabins for a fee.

Dogs are not allowed in the indoor areas, as well as the following rental units:
Rental camping caravans and Glamping tents.

We have laundry facilities with:

• Payment with Pay-buddy (download app)
• 3 washing machines Price DKK 40 per wash
• 2 dryers Price from DKK 10 and up – it depends on how long you want.

You must bring your own detergent and possibly fabric softener (can be purchased at the store).

There are 2 kitchens on the site, which are free to use, and both contain hotplates and ovens including grills - aluminum trays can be purchased in the shop. There are no pots, pans or refrigerators in our kitchens.

Smoking is prohibited in indoor areas, including all our rental units, shop and reception.

There is a defibrillator hanging just outside the reception.

Be considerate of your neighbor – there must be quiet on the site from 10:30 p.m. – i.e. playing on the playground/play area/ball fields, music in the awning, etc. must stop. In addition, there must be complete quiet on the site between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

We have 2 Clever electric charging stations at the entrance to the site. You can charge for a maximum of 3 hours at a time, so that others can also charge. It is not allowed to use the sites as a parking space, as it will then not be possible to charge your car.

We have a shop on the site, with the most necessary things as well as ice cream, chips and sweets. Fresh breakfast bread can be ordered on weekends, holidays and the summer holidays. Opening hours may vary.
There are approx. 5 km. to larger shopping facilities:

Pizza can be ordered in the store during the store's opening hours - see opening hours on the door.
We have visits from various food trucks/street food at the square, especially during the summer holidays.
We will be visited by, among others:

The activity calendar will show who will be coming and when.

We have 6 3-person canoes that can be rented (weather permitting).

They can only be ordered by contacting and paying at the reception, and they can only be pre-ordered the day before when it is for a whole day.

1. After using toilets, sinks, kitchens, etc., these must be left clean and the external doors in the toilet building must be kept closed. Smoking is not permitted in the building, and dogs are not allowed in the sanitary buildings.
2. It is not permitted to take shortcuts through vegetation and slopes – please use the roads and paths.
3. After 11 p.m. there must be quiet on the site and driving after 10:30 p.m. is not permitted.
4. Music may not be played between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM and the volume may not disturb other guests during the day.
5. A speed limit of 10 km/h must be observed out of consideration for children, pedestrians and other traffic. Parking of cars is only allowed in your own space or in the parking area behind the playground.
6. Dogs MUST be kept on a leash everywhere on the site. When walking your dog, please use dog bags, also outside the site. - You are welcome to use the bags we have hanging outside the shop and on the corner of the toilet building.
7. No edges may be dug around tents to drain rainwater, unless this has been agreed with the owners.
8. It is not permitted to place disposable barbecues or barbecue starters on the grass.
9. Vandalism and destruction of the campsite facilities will result in compensation claims and expulsion from the campsite.
